All this time spent at home probably has you wanting to spruce up your walls a bit. Well now you have the opportunity to do so, and its for a much-needed cause. The Photographs for the Trussell Trust initiative was launched earlier this week to raise urgently needed funds for the Trussell Trust, a charity which runs two-thirds of British food banks. Over 100 British and UK-based photographers are each selling an original 8 x 11 inch print for £100, with 100 per cent of the profits (except the £10 production cost for each print) going directly to the Trussell Trust. Renowned names across the globe are taking part in the initiative, including 10 Magazine contributors Kerry J Dean, Tom Craig, Jermaine Francis, Sharna Osborne, and many more.
There has been a 300 per cent increase in demand for food banks compared to this time last year, with the tremendous damage caused by the Covid-19 crisis only increasing the strains food banks across the UK were already facing. With over 14 million Britons living in poverty even before the global pandemic began, this figure will only be exacerbated in the aftermath. The Trussell Trust urgently needs your funding.
