It’s that time of year again where editors, influencers and mega celebs alike chuck on their finest threads for a night of glitz and glam at The Fashion Awards. Set to take place December 5, 2022, at The Royal Albert Hall, The British Fashion Council will once again bring our industry together to celebrate “positive change within the industry and those leading it”.
So who’s up for some awards, then? For the big prize of the night, Designer Of The Year, Miuccia Prada goes head-to-head with the fashion lads, including Demna, Jonathan Anderson, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Bottega Veneta’s Matthieu Blazy. Bella Hadid, Adut Akech and Paloma Elsesser are amongst the nominees for Model of the Year, and the likes of Bianca Saunders, Ahluwalia, S.S.Daley, Wales Bonner, Nensi Dojaka are also up for prizes.
Alongside the night’s main gongs, 15 creatives will be crowned Leaders Of Change for their contributions to making fashion a fairer, more equal playing field. Also on the night, Dazed and AnOther Magazine co-founder Jefferson Hack will receive a Special Recognition Award for Cultural Curation, and the BFC will celebrate 50 New Wave creatives shaping tomorrow’s industry. Also yet to be announced are the recipients of the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator and Outstanding Achievement Award, but before all that, let’s see the full list of this year’s nominees.
