Les Favorites de Fabergé, a collection of egg charms based on the brands most iconic of symbols, and crafted from an array of precious stones, sorbet enamels and metals is now available from the house’s London, Geneva, and recently opened New York Boutiques. And what better time for it? As the brands opulent history, has been so referenced in the A/W collections, from the dense embroideries of Olivier Rousteing at Balmain, to the gilt motifs, and even egg pendant chokers at Salvatore Ferragamo. Highlighting the relevance of these pieces, a series of beautifully naïve paintings from Tanya Ling, which appear like modern slightly abstract portraits of rebellious society women. Coloured hair and kohl rimmed eyes. We’re thinking Dellal or a young Stella Tennant.
