Daniel W. Fletcher Is the Menswear Artistic Director at Fiorucci

Before you put your blinkers up and forget about the fashion world over your Christmas break, there is some fantastic news we couldn’t help but share. Dazzling London-based designer Daniel W. Fletcher has been appointed menswear artistic director at cult Italian brand Fiorucci. The former LVMH and Woolmark-prize nominee will be in charge of revamping, rebooting and re-contextualising the brand’s menswear division for the contemporary luxury consumer. Fletcher will present his debut collection for the brand at London Fashion Week Men’s January 6th, whilst still showcasing his namesake label’s AW20 offering in Paris later that month.

“It’s a great honour to have been asked to lead the new agenda of menswear for the iconic Fiorucci brand. I’m very much looking forward to bringing back the components of culture and design that put the brand on the map in the sixties,” says Fletcher. “Fiorruci’s extensive archive is something I could only have dreamt of since I first discovered it in the library of Central Saint Martins.” Will Fletcher stick to the disco-tastic trends that defined the brand in the 1960s? Or will he inject the off-kilter sense of Brit-nostalgia that runs through his own work into Fiorucci’s next chapter? All will be revealed on January 6th. A massive congrats to Daniel!
