Christopher Kane is having a mighty good holiday season. First he announced the launch of his winter-ready edition of More Joy merch made to be cozied up with a mug of mulled wine. And last night, he unveiled his own take on a Christmas tree inside Ace Hotel’s Hoi Polloi restaurant, of course filled with some red, white and black pervy baubles. Why not have “Sex” hanging all over your tree? It makes a hell of a conversation starter once the family comes over for turkey. But don’t you worry – there’s no need to steal the decorations hanging inside Hoi Polloi.
Just next door to the restaurant is the designer’s (conveniently positioned) new holiday pop-up shop, selling the full More Joy collection and making sure you can introduce a bit of Kane’s kinky vibes into your own home. Alongside the capsule collection, you can buy wrapping paper and Christmas cards printed with the same words. And in true spirit of positive change, 100% of proceeds from the cards will be donated to Whitechapel Mission, a charity serving the homeless in East London for 143 years.
