Saint Laurent’s roll out of their Pre-Fall 18 campaign has become something we look forward to weekly. First came Kaia, then Zoe, and now Charlotte Casiraghi. Daughter of a princess and now new face of Saint Laurent. A sweet life. In more of the Pre-Fall Velvet Underground theme song’d darkness, Charlotte is shot by David Sims, in belted jean and embroidered cuff shirt blackness. The film, however, is more focused. The new purse and scarf are what’s most important here. Zoom, zooming up in on a luxurious leather bag and cocooning knitted scarf. We’re feeling warm and fuzzy already. But forget about that feeling because in another image she’s gearing up to go wild. A Saint Laurent party is always high voltage glamour and so Charlotte stands, wind blowing and the most luscious silver dripping on a pleated and tiered strapless dress. Suede black boots, so tough, to ground it in, that Anthony Vaccarello way. It’s a roller coaster ride. Who will be unveiled next week? Hedge your fashion bets.
