You say it best when you say it with ye’ chest. Just ask the folks over at beloved London retailer Browns Fashion, who’ve rounded up five of the most exciting designers in menswear to create an exclusive range of consciously-designed T-shirts.
Dubbed Grat-T-tude, Browns tasked Bethany Williams, JW Anderson, Martine Rose, Phipps and Robyn Lynch to each sustainably design a graphic tee based around something they’re grateful for.
What’s up for grabs, then? Williams pays homage to the craft-makers who help create her collections with a flowchart of her production timeline; Anderson plasters his “Keep Looking Up” mantra against blue skies and sprouting flowers, and Spencer Phipps is basically just grateful to be part of this planet with a hippie tye-dye number. Martine Rose gets her kids on board, with her son scribbling over an old season print of the brand alongside a rendition of her logo by her daughter, and Robyn Lynch puts an Irish spin on one of her mum’s old holiday tees.
“The graphic inspired for this T-shirt was taken from my mam’s hand-me-down from her first summer holiday with her friends, when she was about 18 years old,” says Lynch. “I share this T-shirt with my sister, and we have a strict ‘3-wear-wash rule’ to keep the T-shirt going as long as possible.”
