Rife with diamante delights and transparent specialties, the house’s 2022 Holiday Gifting Collection navigates notions of opulence and grandeur, imbued with the rebellious spirit of its late eponym. Bubbling over with bags, it’s a carefully curated shopping edit for pleasure-seekers and luxury accessory keepers.
Specially reinvented for the holiday season, the maison’s most iconic bags enter the fold first, now completely crystalline. Especially striking in a glimmering emerald green – like something straight out of the land of Oz – the iconic Jewelled Satchel, the classic Four-Ring Clutch and the Flat Pouches on offer here, glitter like Christmas decorations reflected in a liquid light. Also available in black, crimson and wine hues, each has its shell embellished by broad-gauge crystals and finished with grunge skull hardware.
Rolled out via campaign film, the transparent Four-Ring Clutch bag ripples into existence rendered in an icy aquamarine. Against a hazy backdrop where light refracts into rainbows, the resin pouch melts into an abstracted fluid, cascading into itself and eventually crystallising into a sanguine, semi-opaque, blood-colour bag.
