Bianca Jagger is famous for saying “My marriage ended on my wedding day”, even though her and Mick were married for eight years in total. Sad as this is, I can’t help thinking that even if it actually had just lasted the one day, that wouldn’t be so bad; it was a pretty spectacular wedding after all. I mean, Saint-Tropez, chartered private jets, his ‘n’ hers Yves Saint Laurent and a night with the (young) Mick Jagger – that’s more excitement than most married women get in a lifetime. I wouldn’t be too hasty to turn my nose up at that.
