But let’s try and put that to one side like the mature adults we are, because it’s at the very centre of Neil Barrett’s new athleisure collection, BLACKBARRETT. Having made it’s international debut during AW17, the collection has taken essential elements of the Neil Barrett DNA and translated them into a gym and fitness line. It looks mean, in that classic Neil Barrett way of hard edges, sharp, jagged angles and a monochrome colour palette. Good mean. Perfect for gym-based sweating and grunting. The collection covers all those items one needs for working out – or what we assume one needs – shorts, vests, t-shirts, sweatshirts and sporty anoraks. Clothes that would, quite happily, look just as good whilst, say, lying on the sofa. It’s how we’ll be wearing ours…
