Despite being one of the most impatient people out there, even I will agree some things are worth waiting for. Love, great food and clothes – the list goes on and now includes a Vivienne Westwood campaign starring none other than Naomi Campbell. The supermodel-cum-activist has been synonymous with some of Westwood’s most iconic shows for the past three decades, yet has never been the face of the brand’s campaigns. But that’s the case no more. “I believe things in life come along when they are meant to. It’s taken 33 years to do a Westwood campaign and I’m so happy to be doing it in my 49th year. It’s meant to be when its meant to be,” said Campbell of the opportunity to pose for Juergen Teller in the campaign, dressed in some of the highlights from Westwood’s own line as well as Andreas Kronthaler’s SS20 collection for the brand.
Transforming the Queen of Punk’s mythological tales onto the streets of the 18th Arrondissement of Paris, Campbell breaths a timeless sense of glamour into the clothes as a goddess of her own universe. Neon-lit and as sexy as ever, she’s joined by both designers and French model Kandioura Fissourou who together create an odd family of misfits which lead the way to a better tomorrow.
