Chanel’s Coco Neige 2025/26 campaign brings a fresh face to the slopes with Japanese actress Nana Komatsu. Shot by Sean Thomas, the images set her against sweeping snow peaks, but it’s the clothes that hold the gaze – boldly practical and quietly glamorous.
Coco Neige has only been around since 2018, but it’s already carved out its own niche in the Chanel universe: part performance gear, part luxury statement wear. Komatsu herself says that the collection “isn’t bound by stereotypes,” and the pieces prove it. These clothes would look just as at home in the city as they would on skis. “While the collection reflects the Chanel codes and holds functionality, I can see an unconventionally free side to it,” says Komatsu.
The collection plays with contrasts. There’s the bubblegum pink taffeta puffer and sheepskin trapper hat, a navy cardigan styled with technical trousers and a tweed suit in green and purple that nods to Chanel tradition while winking at après-ski. A beige mohair jacket with a matching mini skirt keeps things pared back, while a black bow on an ecru cashmere sweater adds a flicker of romance. There are quilted sweaters and coated trousers too, in stark black and white colourways that add an air of sophistication to any look.
Accessories are where the fun really emerges – earmuffs, sunglasses, velvet-effect nylon bags, sheepskin boots with even more bows, this time in velvet, and more. They shift each outfit from pure chic into playful, proving versatility is the real star here. “I think the coexistence of elegance and comfort accurately reflects the spirit of Chanel. Just as Gabrielle Chanel showed how to live freely without being trapped by convention, I think this collection expresses inner strength balanced with comfort and beauty. This freedom that Gabrielle Chanel sought is still very present today,” says Komatsu.
