We are, as anyone who has encountered us IRL, a selection of strange social misfits who should probably be confined to a locked basement. Anyway, to celebrate the fluidity of gender, MOTHER denim have introduced a capsule collection entitled LOVE YOUR OTHER “created in the spirit of promoting self-truth and equal rights”. Proceeds will go to Self Evident Truths a charity which is documenting 10,000 people that identify as anything but 100% via a photograph of each one, aiming to humanise the community and demonstrate their diversity. “Our hope in creating the ‘Love Your Other’ capsule and campaign is to bring awareness to the ‘othering’ that goes on when people are different”, said Lela Becker, President and Co-founder of MOTHER. “Standing up for Self Truth, Equal Rights, Love and Acceptance is at the very core of Self Evident Truth’s beliefs and ours.” The collection will contain 10 pieces (our favourite number) – jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts and outerwear, coming in all sizes.
