Moschino To Stage 40th Anniversary Show In Milan

A 40th birthday bash is always going to be a big one, especially when it’s Moschino blowing out the candles.

To mark 4 decades since Franco Moschino founded the house in 1983, the brand will stage a catwalk show during Milan Fashion Week on September 21 that will “serve as a tribute to the remarkable achievements” of the late designer and his enduring legacy.

Following Jeremy Scott’s shock departure from the brand, who ended his ten year tenure as Moschino’s creative director in March, the Italian fashion giant is yet to announce a replacement. Instead, for this collection, four of the industry’s biggest stylists will create 10 looks each that reimagine Franco Moschino campy codes for today’s customer.

Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Lucia Liu will all pay homage to Franco Moschino’s tongue-in-cheek spin on luxe fashion. Get your glad rags ready, girls, this is set to be a good ‘un.
