There’s always a naughty schoolgirl at the heart of Miu Miu – the kind that plays truant but never gets caught. This season the label focused on that core girl playing with school uniform pinafores but sassing them up with an off-the-shoulder grey mohair knit and a Victorian fetish boot. There’s a little nonconformity too. It looked like Miss Miu Miu had doodled flowers on her pristine patent coat. She definitely had a patchouli whiff about her with hippie embroidered sheepskin jerkins. Throw in a bit of ricrac trim and some naïf floral appliqué and you have all the makings of a classic Miu Miu collection.
