Who said that knitwear can’t be sexy? Not Missoni, that’s for sure, whose Spring collection was introduced with a healthy dose of the sensuous – form skimming dresses in a fine, lightweight rib, plunging v-necks and a selection of swimsuit, leg revealing cuts. There was even a peek-a-boo transparency to the looser silhouettes. The collection was all brought together with that jolt of Missoni print and colour, their ability to clash zig zags, stripes and geometric patterns in such an easy way. “Multicoloured energy” the notes before the show called it. And what does the energetic woman need? Not heels, thats for sure. So they instead proposed a more practical Converse, coloured, of course, in those recognisable Missoni hues.
