Kick back, relax, pour a cup of tea, pull up a cosy armchair and take some well-deserved time to secretly perv over some of our all-time favourite creative minds. Immerse yourself in their paintings, sculptures, ornaments, occasional potted plants and a stack of good books. We do love a bit of memorabilia and paraphernalia. Today, we enter the home of host with the most of Jason’s Closet, internet sensation Miss Jason.
What’s your most prized possession?
“I’d have to say the archive of records in my living room – even though they’re not technically mine. They boast some of the most iconic imagery known to art and music. My uncle Teifon was an acid house DJ and pioneer in the ’90s and amassed a huge collection of vinyl over the years, from Massive Attack’s Protection to Chic’s Tongue in Chic to Wayne Wonder and Sanchez… As I’m currently babysitting them, I’ll frantically sift through all the cover art when I’m at a loss for inspo! Nine times out of 10 I find what I’m looking for.”
What dream item would make your home all that more special?
“I’m really keen to start filling my flat with ornate Tiffany lampshades. I was lost in a YouTube spiral the other day and now I can’t get them and the delicacy of their creation out of my head!”
What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?
“For me it’s through constantly updating my home whether it’s repainting, re-tiling, moving furniture around, updating cabinets/fixtures, finding more ways to maximise light… It’s just in feeling like everything is new or has a fresh renovation to it. I find it keeps the mind not only happy but progressive!”
