FIRST JOB: My earliest jobs in fashion were dressing bands who were the only ones who liked my grunge aesthetic back then!
WORST JOB: 9 I don’t have a worst job.. I pinch myself everyday because I am so lucky to get paid to be creative and do something I am passionate about.
WHAT ARE YOU WEARING (ON THE DAY YOUR PORTRAIT WAS TAKEN)? A Narciso jacket, a Marc Jacobs sweater and some Margiela pants.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT? Everything that interests me because I am insatiably curious.
WHO ARE YOUR LITERARY HEROES? I was introduced to Shakespeare, Dickens and Thomas Hardy by my mother at a very young age. Next I discovered Zola, Camus and Voltaire and later Satre ,Proust, William Burrows and Hunter S. Thompson.
FAVOURITE FILMS? There are way too many to list. I love so many movies but I find it hard to watch horror films and violence.
DO YOU COLLECT ANYTHING? I don’t collect anything specific but I have amassed lots of Prouve, Perriand and Corbusier, Vintage Clothes, rocks and boots over the years. Just things I have an emotional response to.
WHAT’S THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS RUMOUR YOU’VE HEARD ABOUT YOURSELF? IS IT TRUE? Too funny but that people call me “the Fashion Angel”. Actually more sweet than outrageous.
WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO? I do what I do because it makes me happy.
DO YOU HAVE A VICE? WHAT IS IT Chocolate, Hermes bags and Azzedine.
ARE YOU A REBEL? WHAT’S YOUR MOST REBELLIOUS MOMENT? Every day.
WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP? A rebel who makes clothes.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR MAKING IT IN THE BIG BAD WORLD? Always be true to yourself, don’t settle for mediocracy, have a conscience, integrity and a sense of humour, Don’t try too hard to make it, just let it be and live in the now.
WHAT’S NEXT? Lots of new creative challenges I hope.
ANYTHING ELSE? I am starting to work on a fragrance.
