Did you ever wish to have two of everything? That’s what we imagine the lives of twin sisters Ami & Aya. The street-style icons of the new generation, these eye-catching Japanese beauties have been making the rounds at the past few fashion months. And each time we spot them in the crowd, they seem surrounded by the paps snapping at the latest of their matchy-matchy lewks. So it’s no wonder they are the latest faces of Fendi’s ongoing project celebrating the power of family.
Me & My Peekaboo started earlier in the year with three generations of the Fendi dynasty discussing the magic behind this bag, with a follow-up starring Kim Kardashian and her mother & daughter coming out a few months ago. Now, it’s the turn on AMIAYA, the moniker given to the pink-haired twins that also happen to be the stars of our secret street-style Pinterest boards. Their matching candy-hued Josephine Baker -like bobs can make even the most classic look turn fash-on. Not that anything about their look is classic. With their two Peekaboos, AMIAYA are Rome-ing (see what we did there?) around Italy’s capital, living that Audrey Hepburn fantasy and making us want to get the bag and a twin. Mom?
