MAXMARA: CRUISE 2014
Apparently the starting point for this Maxmara collection was Sergei Diaghilev’s The Rite of Spring, which feels rather appropriate as firstly this collection says Russian lady of means to me. And secondly Russia is a cold country. This collection looks like it would keep you warm, which makes it very Russian lady of means appropriate. There’s just something about the coloured fur scarves and layered cashmere coats over hoodies worn with loose trousers and visor style sunglasses that says gym to power lunch to me. I’ve always wanted to be the kind of person that goes from gym to power lunch. Who would fire her personal trainer for suggesting that she maybe doesn’t smoke and down a martini whilst on the treadmill.
