What’s your most prized possession?
“My family, although I would not call it a possession, but it’s certainly the thing I prize the most: My husband Mattia, my two dogs Pane and Coda, my extended family of relatives and friends, who are always by our side. There’s no place I can’t call home if I have them with me.”
What dream item would make your home all that more special?
“I’m an eager art collector and always looking for new artists to fall in love with. I’m always looking for that special piece that can transform the way a space looks and feels and that I can keep looking at without being bored. In my Milanese apartment, that would be the big painting by Brian Calvin that welcomes guests in the living room, as well as my favourite Alighiero Boetti piece and the beautiful furniture by Borsani along with Tecno – a personal obsession. But I also can’t help thinking about the metallic-covered monolith by Duccio Maria Gambi that I just installed in the garden of my Alpine chalet. It’s a one-of-a-kind piece that completely reshapes the surrounding space. Collecting art is the biggest satisfaction, joy and pride, something I’ve always devoted myself to, and there’s a lot of amazing and affordable art for anyone to discover.”
What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?
“Colour! And love: love in the process of thinking and creating a space, love in the things you put inside it, love in the people you share it with. A happy space is a space that’s open to others.”
