The desire to be a lady is something one can only pray for in life. And what higher noble title is there than Lady Dior? Having visited the altar of Dior in many a dream, I awake with not so much as a peep from anyone at the Dior offices. Bitterness, however, is not something a lady should possess. As I’m sure the beautiful Marion Cotillard, or Lady Marion so she should hereby be called, would know. She has already gracefully fronted 15 campaigns for the Lady Dior bag since 2008, four of them shot by Peter Lindbergh, like this latest one released to the world this morning. Strolling alongside the banks of the Seine in Paris Lady Marion is captured flaunting the new black leather topstitched bag with the ‘emblematic cannage motif’ and wide crystal embroidered strap. There is also a metalized version with a micro cannage (those little criss-crosses for those not au fait) to take you from quaint daytime duties to nighttime cocktails at the Hotel Plaza Athénée. Trés chic.
