Following on from the success of the first MHL stand alone store, which opened in Tokyo back in 2009, Margaret Howell have opened a second a little closer to home. Shoreditch to be precise. Very on the money in terms of the full on gentrification of East London. Our ridiculously well dressed St. Martins Fashion Assistant, has certified the coolness credentials of this new store by explaining ‘It’s just a stones throw from home’. Our Vivs already been inside for a peep at the William Russell designed interior, which has recently been converted from an old Warehouse. Featuring a well shined cork floor, birch plywood and stainless steel fittings, and what we’re really after…rails and shelves full of MHL product!! ‘inspired by the ease and authenticity of utility clothing, such as work, sports and school wear’, we find any excuse to slip on some MHL. Has that smart but informal feel which basically describes a contingent of 10’s entire wardrobes. And now that distance is no longer issue, we’re able to cram them with more and more!
