Luis de Javier’s eponymous label made its Paris Fashion Week debut with a sultry and sustainable SS25 collection. Models strutted around a forest green runway, donning intricate monochrome garments set against harsh white lighting at Espace Niemeyer.
Mentored by Riccardo Tisci, de Javier centred his collection around the fusion of Parisian haute couture and Spanish heritage. The designer produced an extravagant array of lacy ensembles, drawing inspiration from Balenciaga’s 1940s silhouette.
The show opened with ultra low-rise trousers and sheer lace maxi skirts, revealing the minimal lace thongs paired beneath. Matching lace gloves enhanced the performative, couture-inspired collection. Black lace stockings were paired with cut-out bodysuits and latex gloves, while oversized feathered coats added drama. De Javier also embellished leather jackets with a croc-effect and designed them with pointed shoulder pads. This signature style perfectly complemented the thick, winged eyeliner worn by the models.
Carrying that sensual look into the eveningwear, he layered a nude slip dress with an off-the-shoulder corset adorned with gold embroidery. Maxi dresses featured excess, structured material that twisted around the arms and were paired with long gloves. Some looks were accessorised with grand headpieces detailed with draped fringing and modern Nike baseball caps, adding a contemporary twist to the lace ensembles.
The final looks included an oversized, ultra-low-rise, puffy skirt, a black cape-like dress wrapped around the body, and a cropped Nike white sweater layered under cream-coloured draped fabric. Chic.
