LOUIS VUITTON: YOUNG ARTS PROJECT SUMMER ACAMDEMY

As a kid I dreamed of Summer Camp- a way to escape the boredom of six weeks spent in suburbia. I also dreamed of ‘Arty’ (As we used to call it) future pursuits. Things like Gallery openings, and other vague concepts of the art world I’d devised. Louis Vuitton (our favourite purveyors of monogrammed luggage and highly desirable garms) have run a special arts programme this past week, which has given 30 youngsters the opportunity to work with established artists. ‘The Academy of Youth Mythology’ has aimed to explore the myths surrounding youth culture today. Louis Vuitton established their Young Arts Project in May 2010 in association with London’s leading art institutions. We commend them- wish I’d had this kind of opportunity in my teens. Feel like serenading the office with ’ I believe the children are the future!’, but I’m doing this blog post instead. You get the point.
