Based on the archives of Gaston-Louis Vuitton, gathered in – where else? – a trunk, an amazing new anthology has been produced. For it, 11 French writers exhumed the contents of photos, faded newspaper clippings and handwritten tales of trunks, luggage and travel to conjure a series of short stories. A kind of “if this trunk could speak” literary game. Or a more snappily dressed Agatha Christie. Out now.
