Wish my maison was like the Louis Vuitton Maison.
A very special limited edition fabric work by Ms Emin.
Blows were exchanged over who would cover this story as Vincent loves Louis Vuitton (they share initials, making for effortless monogramming) and I love Tracey Emin (she is amazing). I won, of course, as I have longer and sharper nails for scratching and hair pulling and so I can bring you the news of the exciting coupling between our beloveds, luxury monolith Louis Vuitton and art world doyenne Tracey Emin.
Yes, the latter (Ms Emin) has created a series of new etchings in a lovely leather case for the former (L.V.) to exhibit and sell from their swanky New Bond Street Maison. There are also books and limited edition prints available, the proceeds from which will go towards the Forest High School, Uganda.
One last thing; this afternoon, when you pop down to pick up that bag you ordered as a gift for our Vincette and the Tracey Emin neon you know I had my eye on, you might want to linger as I hear there’s a rather diverting documentary showing in which Ms Emin discusses her home town of Margate with art historian Tim Marlow. That will be all.
