Louis Vuitton to show Cruise at the Niterói Museum

Niteroi museum

How do you like your Louis Vuitton served? We like ours in an exotic, far flung location, preferably with a temperature of over 30 degrees. Is that so much to ask? Well no, apparently. Yesterday, Nicolas Ghesquière confirmed via Instagram (evidence below) that the location for LV’s cruise show in May will be the Niterói Museum in Rio de Janeiro, a space-aged hunk of a building designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Looks rather futuristic, non? And doesn’t the picture just radiate heat? It’s practically tanning my translucent skin via computer screen. Basically, we are gagging to partake in a little Brazilian-based cruising. Can you think of a more pleasurable sounding activity?

“This setting inspired me right away. Following the Bob and Dolores Hope estate designed by John Lautner in Palm Springs, California, we continue the architectural journey that is so particular to the Maison Louis Vuitton,” said Ghesquière “It’s about being transported into a relationship where nature, geography and architecture come together in the vision of a great architect, as was the case with John Lautner. With the 2017 Cruise collection, we’ll be discovering the vision of Oscar Niemeyer.”
