This is by Louis Vuitton, where any time is possible and every time is told. It’s a clock. A simple instrument to indicate, keep and co-ordinate that most precious of commodities: time. If you turn it this way and look into it, it will show you the time. It’s the Escale Time Zone table clock. Just don’t ask us how it works. Notice how it’s slightly reminiscent of a crystal ball. You’ll discover, on holding it, that just like the magic crystal in Labyrinth, toyed with so skillfully by the Goblin King, it can look into the future, too. No, it can’t tell you if you’ll be hit by a bus tomorrow – not that you would be: owners of magical Louis Vuitton clocks do not take buses, nor walk in the kind of streets that buses drive along – but it can tell you the future of time. Want to know what the time is in Rio, for example, or Kathmandu, while simultaneously knowing the time in whatever current exotic locale you happen to find yourself in without having to resort to Google and type in a long-winded phrase? Now you can. For with just one glance this magical instrument will tell you. After all, there are some things you can always rely on, and a flawless functioning internet connection that doesn’t crash at the first drizzle of rain isn’t one of them. A well-crafted timepiece, even if it’s one for your table, certainly is though.
