There are many different shades of suave, with none hitting quite like Pharrell William’s Louis Vuitton. Having staged a Noughties-inspired AW25 show co-designed with long-time collaborator Nigo back in January, the multi-hyphenate unveils his Spring 2025 capsule for the house. Building on the crossover of preppy dress, sharp tailoring and and elevated streetwear that has provided a solid foundation for Williams’ tenure so far, the collection draws on the designer’s experience with synaesthesia.
Across the offering, Williams is led by an intuitive approach to colour. Throughout classic LV staples have been given the multicoloured treatment, with pieces coming in various gradient treatments – emblazoned in light blues, off-whites and flickers of technicolour. The tailoring is clean but relaxed, mixed with classic streetwear silhouettes like boxy shirts, track jackets and baggy slacks. As expected, the bags are a highlight. New iterations of the Speedy 40, Horizon trolley and Montsouris backpack complement each look in a rainbow of shades, from lime green through to duck egg blue. The shoes are equally as strong, with chunky-soled Derbys and swollen trainers with a distinct ‘90s feel proving to be particular standouts. This mid-seasonal drop is full of elevated wardrobe-fillers. Cop yours here.
