Louis Vuitton: Paris Fashion Week A/W 14
As we sat and waited in anticipation in the new glass cube for the show, with its cream carpeted floor, which was the new canvas for the collection. The silver slated shutters tilted to let in the light, the bright sunshine that flooded the space creating a lightness and openness for the collection. The collection that entered had a decidedly 60’s theme but was not at all literal, it was sexy and decidedly French, chic, effortlessly eclectic, polished and totally buyable and aspirational. The mix of texture and use of fabrics to execute this theme was done so brilliantly- it explored the traditional themes of the 60’s but with modernity, elegance and intelligence. Nothing seemed to be done too literally and every idea was thoroughly explored and executed and evolved. A brilliant experience all round. Very much the beginning of a new regime. Honestly can’t wait to get my hands on it in store!
