LOUIS VUITTON: PARIS A/W 13
As the long hotel corridor set stretched before us with 48 closed doors we waited in anticipation for the exiting of its occupants. Girls flooded from the rooms with the smell of powdery boudior scent filling the air. Stacked behind each door were the huge weathered Vuitton trunks that I imagined were filled with all manor of glorious lace and silk. The girls were dressed in a lingerie inspired collection chantilly lace trimmed skirt, cami knickers and tiny little cami tops, all layered under sumptuous marabou linings and degrade embroidery that glinted like a night sky. Feminine and delicate. Prints also came in the form of tiny flowers on the lightest of silk and chiffon enforcing further the notion of room swapping in the night of this Louis Vuitton girl, rushing corridors at speed having thrown on the most exquisite silk jacquard overcoats in the pale jacquards and wool with these slithers of silk and chiffon beneath. I loved the lightness and femininity of this collection so very much and will of course be channelling boudoir fashion asap. A total triumph.
