Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel – Three Summer Fragrances You Need to Get Right Now

Fragrance news are going strong this week. First it was the announcement that Cher will be launching Eau de Couture, a genderless fragrance including notes of bergamot, neroli, jasmine, vetiver and vanilla. This will be her second foray into the world of perfume after Uninhibited from 1987, which excited the globe by being “bottled, but not contained.” Tuesday’s Gucci Cruise 2020 show not only saw some extravagance of activism, but also the taste of the House’s brand new fragrance created by Alessandro Michele. Mémoire d’une Odeur transcends gender, place and time while exploring the power of memories, taking them from the past and into the present. Singer Harry Styles leads the cast of ambassadors, including Zumi Rosow, Harris Reed and Olimpia Dior, with the scent to be released in August. As we patiently wait for these big moments, we have to satisfy our noses until then – these are three new fragrances you need to know about now.

Louis Vuitton Les Sables Roses

Described by its creators as “an eternal fragrance trail,” Les Sables Roses is the latest addition to the rich fragrance library carrying the signature of Louis Vuitton. Crafted by the Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud (of Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier & Afternoon Swim by Louis Vuitton), the perfume bottled in the signature LV glass flacon is a rich unisex mix of rose, oud and ambergris. This unique combination paints a picture of a sunset in the desert, a bright update on the house’s first ever foray into oud – Ombre Nomade from 2018. Nothing is what it seems at Louis Vuitton – Les Sables Roses flirts between the cold and heat, sky and earth, night and day. With contrast at its core, this is a fragrance that won’t ask you to choose between your personalities for the day. Just wear them all!

The Louis Vuitton Les Sables Roses is available from selected stores and online.

Chanel Paris-Riviera

The next destination on the map of the (sadly fictional) Chanel travel agency is Côte d’Azur, courtesy of the latest addition to the Les Eaux de Chanel collection of fragrances Paris-Riviera. After Biarritz, Deauville and Venice, we’re talking a long walk down the sandy beach, covered in the radiant scent of citrus and white florals. The nose behind the scent is Frenchman Olivier Polge, Chanel’s trusted choice responsible for the rest of the Les Eaux de Chanel line. Coming just in time for the hols, this scent will even make the Blackpool beach feel as chic as the French Riviera.

The Chanel Paris-Riviera is launching online and in selected stores in June.

Gucci Guilty Cologne pour Homme

The Guilty family is an ever-expanding one. Gucci’s best-known fragrance has many variations – exactly 19 of them. The latest one to join the club is Gucci Guilty Cologne, an unusual men’s fragrance which merges the old with the new, just like the best of Alessandro Michele’s work. Developed by Spanish perfumer Alberto Morillas, the scent reminisces on the old ideas of traditional colognes, now rooted and enriched through noble woods notes and powerful citruses, all sprinkled with a touch of violet. Overflowing with Mediterranean elements – rosemary, bergamot, cypress – Gucci Guilty Cologne is the classic men’s summer fragrance with a twist. And just like any good summer romance, it takes you through the ups and downs as it seduces with something you haven’t quite experienced before.

Gucci Guilty Cologne pour Homme is available from selected stores and online.
