Gird your loins, it’s begun again – the 62nd London Fashion Week launched with much excitement this morning. Number 62 – can you believe it? But there’s no danger of it becoming your stereotypical sexagenarian. No retirement plans here, no registering for bus passes. In fact, the opposite – it’s moving to a fabulous new location – The Brewer Street Car Park, in the heart of Soho. A car park you may say, well that’s not very fashionable. But you would be mistaken. For industrial will always be du jour, especially when the interior has been transformed by hundred of busy hands into a wonderful white-clad catwalk space. We had a little tour at the launch this morning and we can confirm it looks better than ever. So much so, we think we’re just going to up sticks and move our office there for the duration. I mean, our wonderful editor-in-chief, Sophia Neophitou, is the BFC’s Pillar President of Reputation and Chairmen of the Press Committee so, well, we should be allowed. Right? She’s pictured above with Natalie Massenet, the BFC’s chairman, and Caroline Rush, its CEO. Power women. As always, there is much to look forward to – so keep your eyes on trained on newsite.10magazine.com for round the clock coverage.
