This spring, surrender your senses in Loewe Perfumes’ tomato-flecked labyrinth at Selfridges Corner Shop, where the air is ripe with green tomato leaf and the walls are, quite literally, paper thin. Described in a release as, “A renaissance of nature and scent in the heart of London,” the scent-soaked installation, dubbed the Timeless Garden, is an immersive pop-up that channels the grandeur of Renaissance gardens through a distinctly Loewe lens. It’s less retail space and more olfactory gallery – curated, three-dimensional and pulsing with botanical beauty. There, the full Loewe Perfumes portfolio is on display from the narrative-rich scents of Un Paseo por Madrid to the grounded ritualism of the Home Scents collection and the earthy freshness of the house’s current hero, Tomato Leaves.
Open to the public from May 19 through June 21, at its centre, a sculptural collaboration with Vancouver-based Molo Design forms a functional maze which you can wander through as you peruse Loewe’s best-smelling beauty bits. Known for its sustainable, honeycomb-like structures, Molo has transformed the space into something akin to a living storybook – pages made from recycled paper that feels as much like art as architecture. Referencing gilded botanical manuscripts, the modular forms bring an elegant yet earthy sensibility, echoing Loewe’s own ethos of sustainable craftsmanship.
True to the house’s interactive DNA, the experience is rich in hands-on moments. From botanical arrangement workshops to engraved bottles and pressed-flower label customisation, guests are invited not just to shop, but to play, personalise, lounge and linger.
The pop-up is also playing host to a handful of limited editions and retail exclusives. Highlights include collectible beeswax candleholders in warm honey and bronze hues, and the new Loewe Tomato Bath Line Limited Edition Set, nodding to the maison’s recent, sun-drenched Paula’s Ibiza campaign. For the fragrance connoisseur on the go, the Loewe Miniature Perfume Set presents cult favourites like Solo Ella, Esencia and 001 Man/Woman in miniature block-shaped bottles – signature wooden caps and all.
Rooted in nature, elevated by design and powered by storytelling, Loewe’s Timeless Garden at Selfridges’ Corner Shop is here for a good time, not a long one. Catch it before it snuffs out.
