KNWLS designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault are cruising firmly in the fast lane. Freshly following their stellar team-up with Jean Paul Gaultier, the design duo were back on the London Fashion Week schedule after a season away from the catwalk. This time, the KWNLS girl didn’t just have a need for speed; she was a full-blown petrol head. She came clad in the brand’s armour-like corsets, rustic-hued bodysuits and tye-dye T-shirts and skin-tight trousers that looked like they’d been baked under the intense sun. The brand has a fierce, global following, who will undoubtedly be won over with this season’s cracked leather jackets with “quarter-back shoulders”, as well as the brand’s Fang and Razr bags. It wasn’t all pedal to the metal, though. A black wrap-around evening dress, worn by Mia Khalifa, proved the brand’s prowess for high-octane fashion can be met with more traditionally glamorous wears, too. The KNWLS universe continues to expand.
