Lady Amanda Harlech, the designer’s friend and muse, will be curating the exhibition that opens next March.
“And about time too!” was the resounding reaction here at Ten Towers. Three decades at the helm of Chanel, and five at the helm of Fendi means that a retrospective of Karl Lagerfeld is long overdue, no? The exhibition will chart the designer’s rise from fashion groundling to fashion god. The coat that won him a Woolmark Prize in 1954 will be on display, as well as collections he did for Chloe and other fashion houses. We predict that culture vultures and fashion fanatics alike will descend on the exhibition en masse to pay homage to King Karl!
