Two retailers – Joyce, Hong Kong and Machine-A, London – have partnered with SHOWstudio to support fashion graduates. The two boutiques have selected four graduates and asked them to design a capsule collection. Machine-A’s graduates include Fashion East designer Grace Wales Bonner, Adam Marc James, Chris O’Carroll, and Kiko Kostandinov (who is amazing on Instagram FYI). “These graduates are the future of fashion,” said founder and buying director of Machine-A Stavros Karelis. “I am extremely happy that for the first time, two influential stores in two different fashion capitals of the world will present a joint collaboration hence creating a platform to showcase and promote the best of British and Chinese emerging talent through eight limited capsule collections.” These capsule collections will be available at both Machine-A and Joyce, as well as the SHOWstudio/Machine-A online shop. But that’s not it – Nick Knight has created a fashion film that, to quote Nick, “celebrates the designer and also the wearer” of these clothes. This film which will be released on SHOWstudio on June 11.
