JordanLuca: Menswear SS25

A collision of synthetic seduction and savage intimacy, JordanLuca’s SS25 collection electrified Milan Fashion Week Men’s. A daring ballet of contradictions unveiled at Frigoriferi Milanesi, Jordan Bowen and Luca Marchetto once again challenged the boundaries of menswear, presenting a collection where tradition and innovation, ethereal grace and synthetic rawness, collided with unapologetic intensity.

Unfurling like a dance between an elegant ballerina and the stark, synthetic world she navigates. The collection expanded on JordanLuca’s signature duality: while the ballerina dances solely for herself, the JordanLuca man exudes raw, unambiguous sexual desire. The frequent use of synthetic appliqués cemented the blurred line between reality and artifice. Raw ballet beauty, reminiscent of a rose cast in 3D-printed resin, offered an everlasting symbol of love. This exploration of lust and timelessness saw the ballerina’s tutu ravaged in black, while opulent duchess silk contrasted thigh-hugging lycra.

Silk blends were glazed with plastic redefining the brand’s signature denim, tailoring and outerwear. Japanese tweed jackets, cropped and boxy with shoulder pads and antique-effect buttons, were a nod to sartorial peacocking. Ornamental black lace veiled in silver foil and metallic-laminated halter neck tops challenged societal norms, embodying a study of freedom versus expectation. Hedonistic floral dresses were hand-torn and re-pleated, oversized blazers consumed the body, and parkas were plastic-coated for protection. Accessories added another layer of intrigue, with elongated black leather pumps and slanted harnessed kitten heel boots for men. A standout moment was the introduction of the Mini Gotham Bag, available now. Crafted from Italian leathers and adorned with signature spike hardware, the bag epitomises the collection’s blend of raw and refined.

Masterfully exploring the concept of savage intimacy, JordanLuca effortlessly fused two seemingly separate worlds into one provocative narrative. This collection, with its ephemeral rawness, urged attendees to seize the moment and savour the beauty of fleeting desires.
