Jimmy Choo have released their AW17 Women’s and Men’s campaign – which is always cause for excitement – and this year is no different. Shot by Theo Wenner, the imagery captures the Jimmy Choo Man and Woman engaging in a game of cat and mouse around the city. Not the creepy, stalker kind more the playful, frivolous variety – like an adult version of kiss chase, but instead of being confined to a playground, it’s played out around the capital. Sounds exhausting. And rather expensive truth be told, how many oyster card fares are being used? What if somebody caught the Metropolitan line all the way to Amersham? That’s probably where the game would end for us, but then again, we’re not great at the whole public transport thing.
We’re also not convinced that those four inch Jimmy Choo heels are the most appropriate footwear to engage in said game of cat and mouse with, but who are we to comment on practicality. On a more serious note, there are some very lovely shoes on show too, including an ox-blood lace up number that we have our eyes on and some stilettos that are so high even Sophia might think twice about wearing. Speaking on the imagery, Sandra Choi remarked, “The campaign exudes a mature sensibility with a touch of playful allure while continuing to explore and unite the narrative between the Jimmy Choo Man and Woman”. We’re already looking forward to the next chapter.
