Wit Wu! Can it have really been a decade since Jason Wu first started feeding our eyes/bodies, twice yearly, with his gorge designs? Yes, it has. It really has. Proven this afternoon, with his AW17 collection, which he used to mark 10 big fat years in the business. And everyone knows 10 is our favourite number. So how best to celebrate this momentous day? Well, it began with, as all things should – hiring out an expensive salon in the St Regis, filling it to the brim with fashion’s great and the good (with particular reference to Adriana Lima, who we watched perfect a selfie over the course of several minutes) and, of course, stacks of beautiful clothes. Clothes that we would describe as (without wanting to go all M&S on you) effortlessly glamourous, something that Mr Wu has always returns too – here found through molten cocktail dresses that wrapped loosely around the body, tailoring a little oversized, printed skirts worn with a chunky-knit number atop. Clothing for everyday life. And the occasional party.
