No, not the sloaney ‘university outfitters’ – that’s Jack Wills, silly. I said Jack Walls, with an ‘A’, New York’s downtown legend, poet, artist and ex-boyf of Robert Mapplethorpe. Yes, that Jack Walls! Now you get me; the guy who wrote lyrical prose piece ‘the Ebony Prick of the White Rose’s Thorn’. Yuh that’s right. Finally. Well that Jack Walls – or should I say THE Jack Walls – has an exhibition of his collage paintings on at the Half Gallery. If you are about you should pop down, I hear it’s pretty special. Ryan McGinley said so, and he wouldn’t lie.
