The new J.W. Anderson campaign, shot by Jamie Hawkesworth, feels, you have to admit, very The Wicker Man. That film about a police sergeant who’s sent to a Scottish island village in search of a missing girl whom the townsfolk claim never existed. Stranger still being the rites that take place there according to that font of all movie knowledge, Imdb.com. What Imbd fails to mention though, quite a key aspect of the film, is that the cast is dressed in JW. Well maybe not, but if they remade it, they certainly would be. As May says in the film, and as we repeat often to our bank manager, when we accidentally answer the phone, “you’ll simply never understand the true nature of sacrifice”. It’s use that in our case, we’re sacrificing our bank account.
