What do you get when you cross the purveyors of premium designer denim J Brand Jeans and London-based womenswear extraordinaire Simone Rocha? A bloody amazing collection, that’s what. Okay, that might not have been the funniest joke you’ve ever heard but the sentiment is true: Simone’s collection for J Brand is bloody amazing. Will and I went over to Dover Street Market this afternoon to feast our fashion-hungry eyes on it and well, we loved it. Wait, that doesn’t sound nearly emphatic enough. I’ll employ some capitals. We LOVED it. The denim, in rose pink, ruby read and charcoal black had Simone’s trademark frills strewn across the hems and sleeves and across the jacket breasts and pockets. It was pretty (this is Simone we’re talking about) but totally wearable too. Naturally the collection featured lace: head-encasing masks and feet-encasing shoe covers. Perfect for my “ballerina feet” according to Will. I wish Will, I wish.
The collection is available exclusively at Dover Street Market from today and at selected retailers including Selfridges, Net-a-Porter and Browns.
