Though the brand is famed for its pleats (and don’t panic, there were plenty of them, a “baked stretch pleat”, no less) it has a new supporting player – the fringe. As in, fringed edges. And this was not like that other kind of fringe, the one that you regret two weeks in and spend the next three years trying to grow it out, oh no. These were perfectly fringed edges, layered on to checkered tops and skirts like a lovely picnic blanket, reformed into clothing. It fitted with the relatively carefree – dare we say summery – feel of the collection.
