We have been reporting an unprecedented level of change in Fashiondom recently and, quite frankly, we started to feel a bit left out. So here’s some news of our own, drumroll please…. The 10 Family is welcoming a new member! Allow us to introduce Phoebe Briggs, our new Editorial Director. Phoebe has been on the fringes of the family for a while, in fact we’re pretty sure we saw her, nose pressed against the window Dickensian orphan style, looking in on our 10 Christmas Dinner, so we have decided the time is right to formalise the adoption process. But don’t worry, it’s not a pity appointment, far from it, Phoebe is working on some oh-so-exciting can’t-wait-to-tell-you projects that will bring you more 10, more quickly, in the form of that new fangled interweb contraption. That’s right, she’s a geek. And she’s organised. Terrifyingly so. She’s bringing in stats and spreadsheets and newsletters and (So exciting we could burst!) our very own online store ’10 Curates’ where you can benefit from the discerning and downright delectable taste of our Fearless Editirix In Chief Sophia at the click of an e-commerce button! It’s in development right now, but we couldn’t resist telling you it’s coming. So back to Phoebe, ‘Where did you find her?’ we hear you ask. Well, there she was on our very doorstep in London (actually, thinking on the Christmas Dinner episode, it’s all getting a bit creepy now so don’t panic, she wasn’t literally on the doorstep) working in the realm of PR & Marketing. She’s been on the scene for more years than she cares to remember, for want of a more ladylike term, ‘straddling’ the worlds of creative and commercial, and in that time has flown us around the world on glorious Ray-Ban press trips, worked with us on the Pringle Perfect 10 project and most recently headed up the Comms at Issa; organising Runway Shows, commissioning shoots, writing copy, and generally working on all things ‘brand’. And if this is sounding familiar but you’re still struggling to place this Phoebe Briggs, we offer you the final piece of the puzzle- you may know her from her maiden days as Phoebe Cobb… And there we end our happy tale, Reader, she married him.
