International Woolmark Prize Announce London Finalists

iwp_mainThe International Woolmark Prize is like the fashion hunger games. But a lot more tame and nice. No no risky training (that we know of) and no lives on the line. The next chapter in the IWP was closed this week as the winners of the London semi-final for 2018/19 were announced. Daniel w, Fletcher, Edward Crutchley, Nicholas Daley all from the United Kingdom as well as CMMN SWDN from Sewden are the through to the next round. Let’s call them District 1, because if you didn’t know District 1 in the Hunger Games presents luxury and they sure as hell aren’t being lumped with the fishing or lumber districts. But we digress. The winners were chosen from an impressive panel of judges including Roland Mouret, Tim Blanks, Catherine Baba, Christiane Arp, Jefferson Hack, Gert Jonkers and Tiffany Hsu. Now over the next seventh months these finalists will create a six-look collection using Merino wool as they head to the finish line where one women’s and one menswear designer will be chosen. Happy International Woolmark Prize and may the odds be ever in your favour.
