We imagine Dolly Parton singing to us in her voice, described by herself as “a cross between Tiny Tim and a nanny goat” about her “bag of many colours, that my Karl-l made for me”. We can’t attest to Karl hand-stitching the tassels-of-many-colours bag but if he didn’t do it, one of Chanel’s world-famous ateliers will have done. I’m reminded of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant, though this reference might be lost on anyone born before the 1990s (soz). Anyway, if we bought this bag, sure we would have no money, but we would be rich as we could be.
