I can’t put my finger on it but looking at the Hermèss show reminded me of a cult. Or Amish women. Or a cult of Amish women. Now I know these Hermès cult of Amish women are not traditional – they wear trainers, patterned clothing and they wear dresses above the knee. But they’re Amish and Parisian so who are we to question them? And there were clothes for all sorts of Amish lady jobs. Clothes for ploughing and sowing seeds. But also skintight leather looks to pop down to to Chez Castel down on Rue Princesse after a hard day working in the fields. Who said Amish girls don’t know how to have fun?
