Hermès’s AW25 Beauty Collection Is Gorgeously Geometric

Think Albers squares or the Bauhaus realm, where colours meet structure and the simplest of forms become art. It’s not geometry class, it’s geometry perfected, and its what sits at the heart of Hermès’ limited-edition AW25 beauty collection, where circles and squares collide, reinvigorating the artistry of shape in cosmetics.

Comprising three Rouge Hermès lipsticks, an Ombres d’Hermès eyeshadow palette and three gem-like nail enamels, the essentials of beauty are transformed into shapely masterpieces here. Dreamed up by creative director Gregoris Pyrpylis, the collection is inspired by two of the most essential shapes in art and design, the circle and the square. “They are at the root of every Hermès Beauty object and creative intention,” says Pyrpylis. “In this collection, we find them in a range of almost nocturnal shades, in sublime half-tones that create an optical illusion.”

Designed to mix, layer or shine on their own, each element of the AW25 collection unleashes Hermès’ elegance and subtle power. The light matte rose lipsticks come in three shades that offer the perfect pop of colour to elevate any look, each shade showcasing a versatile personality. The first hue, Rose Épure, is soft yet poised, with gentle pinks that glide effortlessly across your lips, a whisper of shimmer on the eyes and a touch of rich, creamy nail glaze for a refined simplicity. Rose Mauve, on the other hand, offers quiet drama, blending mauves and dusky violets into a smoky satin finish for those who favour faint intensity. Then, Rose Primaire commands attention with an unapologetic vibrancy, its striking magenta only amplified by the deep, jewel-toned eyeshadows and nail lacquers that make up the rest of the look, making a beauty statement that’s impossible to ignore.

The collection’s stand out? The Ombres d’Hermès eyeshadow palette which mirrors the tones of the lippies with four versatile shades from faint, shimmering shades that lift to nocturnal hues that deepen. Completing the look, Les Mains Hermès nail enamels arrive in three permanent colours – violet byzantin, jaune impérial and vert écossaise – for that perfect final flourish.

The mastermind behind the product design is creative director of Hermès jewellery Pierre Hardy, who revisits the primary shapes in drawing. Lipsticks are housed in a lacquered tube featuring the Ex-Libris and block-coloured squares and circles. As the rings turn, shifting arrangements of shapes create endless optical effects. The eyeshadow palette, meanwhile, plays with round and square silhouettes, protected in a canvas pouch and the signature orange box. Both lipsticks and palettes are refillable, though limited-edition shades will not return once sold out.

With an array of shades, textures and finishes, Hermès’ AW25 collection is designed to experiment, layer and express a Hermès look that is exclusive to you. Think of it as a curated collection where every swipe, blend and shimmer transforms makeup into wearable art. Shop the limited-edition collection here.
